Alright, so this one is a bit disgusting, and yet equally, it’s hilarious. The line of text at the bottom of the image reads, “Because dogs don’t always have it easy.” Not this one anyway. It’s difficult not to feel sorry for this pooch, and we can relate to him having a hard day in work. We want him to have the doggy treats. And if we happen to have a little yapper back home, we’d start to think that maybe he or she should get some, too.
Writing for The Ad Effect, Tara Gremillion has her own theory on why dogs in particular work so well in adverts. She writes, “They have a way of representing a valid member of your family more than any other pet. Often pleasing your dog, weighs the same as pleasing the most important people in your life.”
