Seems like a public relations ploy to me. A recent Christian Science Monitor reports that Toyota is recalling hundreds of thousands of Prius models worldwide due to hazardous brakes. Who's kidding who?

Home Depot is making great strides towards being green. They have helped us with weatherization projects and are becoming aware of their shortcomings.

I just went cross country and our main staple was MacDonalds. I was appalled at my own contribution to overflowing to-go containers. It was rampant. I saw bags of MacDonalds in the halls of two of the six motels this trip. The receptacle outside of the shops stuffed to overflowing on five occassions. Started using my travel coffee cup for my MacDonald beverage.

My rural community supports the national economy with our 'Mail Order' mentality. Target, Walmart, HP ship to us, our community recycling center is struggling to keep on top of the cardboard. And what is happening to the padding? I would like to see big corporations send our struggling rural recycling centers financial aid.

Today my 5 year old sorted overflowing plastic bottles into one of those huge empty cloth-like cube bags that the worker set up to tackle an unruly consumer dump of items. Much had caps, which we twisted off.

The recycling worker thanked us when we departed.

I'm so happy to see large companies like this doing the right thing. Actions like this will give these companies a competitive edge for more than one reason. Most of the techniques used to transform companies "green" will cut costs themselves. On top of that there is an ever growing demand by the public for environmentally friendly businesses. I personally love it and would go out of my way to support any "greener" company.

Wow awesome article, we found a product that is now available to deal with toxic exhaust emissions, recent tests have shown on emissions testing that our product lowered from allowable limit of 52 pmm of hydrocarbons to 1 pmm. Just think if only 1/3 of the world used this product.

Thank you Mika

I'm happy to see these kinds of list, but man, this is seriously short on detail. You just can't declare that a company is "green" and have that mean anything without a much more detailed understanding - plus I want to hear it from the CEO at a stockholder's meeting, not just here!
