The amount of money Put into advertising is noting by comparison to the R&D cost. On average to get one drug from the lab to the shelf it costs 803 million dollars and 10-15 years worth of time and testing meaning that when they can finally sell their product they have 5 years of there patient to make up all of the money they sunk into developing the drug.
