While some companies are moving to China and India, here is an example of a manufacturing success – a company that intends to stay put in New Albany, Indiana.

Coal-fired power plants haven't been considered a growth industry for a long time. But on the north side of the Ohio River, nestled in the industrial park behind Indiana University Southeast, a company is bringing innovation and efficiency to the field.

The little-known, 40-plus-year-old ConformaClad has been growing even as the manufacturing economy has been cutting jobs. And unlike its manufacturing peers, who are moving work to China and India in droves, ConformaClad is staying put.
