		<description>I agree with your sentiments but most people will have to have both pictures in their head if they are in business. 

One is cash flow and the other is profitability. 

Without both you may sadly get caught out one way or the other if your not carful.</description>

		<description>Simply speaking accrued accounting is accounting when a cost is incurred rather than when the payment was made or invoiced.

It is a more realistic view and unless you are a cash business i.e. a window cleaner you will have to change to this method at some stage especially if you plan to grow.</description>
