Adele Remains Unstoppable As Her Album Approaches Another Record

Adele 25

Adele’s smash hit album ’25’ is set to break another record, becoming the first album to sell 1 million copies in 2 different weeks.

If sales numbers remain steady, Adele will become the first artist to reach that goal since Nielsen Music began tracking album sales in 1991.

Adele’s third studio record has sold over 4.2 million copies in the US in less than two weeks.

What’s most impressive is that 51% of Adele’s sales last week were physical albums such as CDs and vinyl, according to Nielsen Music.

’25’ became the best selling single week album of all time when it moved 3.38 million copies in the US during its first week in wide release.

How big is Adele’s album? ’25’ represented 41% of all U.S. album sales last week. Taylor Swift’s ‘1989,’ represented 22% of the US album market.

Adele’s Grammy award winning ’21’ sold over 11 million copies after being released in 2011.
