Apple iOS 9 Is Crashing iPhones And iPads For Some Customers

iOS 9

The Apple iOS 9 platform is now available for download and it’s crashing iPhones for some customers.

Angry users took to Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms on Thursday to voice their disgust over failed upgrades occurring on their older model iPhones and iPads.

“It is beyond inconvenient to not be able to use your phone for a day,” student Pip Cordi told Fox Business. “I have a lot of apps that I use for school – things like language apps and dictionaries and that’s all really important for my studies.”

Another Apple customer claimed that the company was aware of the issue and said it was “looking into it 24/7.”

Apple HQ has not responded to questions about the failed iOS 9 upgrades at this time. The company has traditionally avoided answering questions about faults in its products until after a solution has been released.

This is hardly the first time that an iOS upgrade has caused customer devices to lock up and even become unusable. iOS 8 customers reported the same type of issued just one year earlier.

Despite the issue that a small group of customers are having, it is believed that at least 16% of all iPhone customers upgraded their devices to the new OS by 4 p.m. PDT on Thursday.
