The Apple iPad Pro is going on sale this Wednesday.
In an interview with CNNMoney, Apple Senior Vice President Eddy Cue, who has been using the device for months, said, “It’s actually the machine that I use everyday.”
Online orders will start on Wednesday and the devices will arrive in stores sometime later in the week. The company will simultaneously release the Smart Keyboard and Pencil stylus at the same time.
Apple is pitching it as “the most powerful iPad we’ve ever made.”
Cue said the feature that has surprised him the most is the four-speaker sound system.
Hearing sound from the iPad Pro for the first time “changed the way I thought of the product,” Cue said. “I didn’t realize how much of a difference it was going to make — that you’ve got this stereo sound coming out of a device like this.”
Apple is hoping that the iPad Pro can compete with Microsoft’s very successful Surface Pro lineup. The Microsoft devices, which have been on the market for several years now, feature detachable keyboards and full-version of Windows 8.x or Windows 10.
