Apple on Tuesday announced a set of updates to its ultra-thin and light laptop line.
The new MacBook features an extra hour of battery life, faster flash storage, and an improved graphics card.
The 12-inch MacBook features a 1.1 GHz Intel Core m3 processor and 256 GB of flash storage for $1,299.
The $1,599 version offers a faster 1.2 GHz Intel Core m5 processor and 512 GB of flash storage.
The MacBook now has up to 11 hours of battery life, an hour more than the company’s 11-inch Macbook Air and an hour less than the 13-inch MacBook Air.
But Apple didn’t forget about its MacBook Air, giving the 13-inch model a boost in memory. The new MacBook Air now begins with 8 GB of memory.
The body of the MacBook is also tapered like the body of the MacBook Air. But the new MacBook is thinner and lighter than the MacBook Air.
The new Apple MacBook is available today on Apple.com and will be available at retail locations on Wednesday.
There’s even a new “Rose Petal” available for anyone interested in a prettier looking MacBook.
