Lisa has a great post on the difference, inspired by Ten Ways to Know You Aren't a Leader. I would say #8 is my biggest problem.

8. You're driven by the task instead of the relationships and the vision.

I love to solve problems more than anything else, which problemably makes me very task driven. The two that most get on my nerves when I see them in others: #6 and #7

6. You find it easier to blame others for your circumstances than to take responsibility for solutions.

7. It's been some time since you said, "I messed up."

Check out the list, and leave some comments about leaders vs. pleaders.
