Ashley Madison was hacked in August 2015 and yesterday the hackers behind the breach released user data on The Dark Web. With nearly 10 gigabytes of user information released, it was only a matter of time before a few case studies were released.
Less than 24 hours after the breach a researcher who goes by the Twitter handle t0x0pg released a study which claims to show the top 25 cities around the world where people love to cheat on their partners.
The researcher claims that the leak contains more than 15,000 US military and governmental email addresses, most of which are military. Keep in mind that Ashley Madison did not verify the email addresses at the time of registration so the numbers might be skewed.
The graph below doesn’t take into account population, but it does show where the largest number of cheaters reside.
