An ABC miniseries about the life and times of Ponzi scheme operator Bernie Madoff is set to air in 2016. The network announced on Wednesday that the series has finished shooting.
Richard Dreyfuss plays the lead role and Blythe Danner plays his wife Ruth.

The movie was “inspired” by the reporting fo longtime investigative ABC correspondent Brian Ross.
HBO has also been developing a Bernie Madoff movie since 2011, that film includes an assist from Robert De Niro.
Now 77-years-old, Bernie Madoff is serving a 150-year sentence at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina.
