This is a hard eye-opener. I'm a teenager, and I don't drive. I'm terrified of driving. I think this may be why. Unfortunately, my father was hit a few months ago by a woman who was texting. I lost my father and almost my mother to a car accident. Seeing the violent nature of this video stirred up horrific images of what my parents went through before the accident and my fathers death. My mother went through years of recovery. Images like these are too tramatic for people like me. It is like reliving it over and over. Don't text and drive but don't show this video either! Results showed that majority of viewers (80%) reported that they are less likely to text while driving after watching the PSA. The study also found that 85% of American viewers reported that the PSA should be aired in the U.S. The majority of viewers (87%) believe that the PSA is appropriate in nature, and 86% also indicated that the PSA was extremely effective.
