Build a Better Business Plan and Win $100,000 From Forbes

Brush off that business plan and get ready to submit it to Forbes second annual Boost Your Business competition.  Last year, almost 1,000 contestants submitted detailed plans for how they would use the grand prize of $100,000 to take their businesses to the next level.  Five finalists presented their cases to a distinguished panel of judges and millions of Forbes readers. The grand prize winner received $100,000.

No plan on paper?  If not, use this contest as the push to take yourself through the exercise of creating a formal business plan.  By playing you win.  Whether or not you end up with the cash, you’ll learn priceless information about your business, articulate your strategy, and get smart about the opportunities and challenges you face.

Submissions will be accepted for the first round of the contest beginning on April 2.  Check out for further instructions on how to enter and what to expect in the coming months.

  • Lela,

I entered this contest last year. The length limit really made us think hard about a succinct description of the business. I highly recommend this contest. The only caveat is that Forbes retains the rights to poach any good ideas submitted.
