I think this trend will ultimately prove whether experimental economics is accurate or not. If businesses embrace such testing, and use it to improve product planning, pricing, etc., over the long term, then perhaps the naysayers will be swayed. If companies abandon the field because it doesn't work, then maybe we should too. (Personally, I think behavioral economics is here to stay)
