Interesting but long post analyzing the success of blog carnivals, and why you should participate. When Jay and I started the Cotc, it was really driven by the sudden explosion in business blogs. We didn't give much thought to traffic and all that, primarily because blogging was different in the days when you couldn't make money at it. Our main concern was that there were too many good business blogs and we couldn't keep up every day so we were missing good posts.
