Smartwatch manufacturer Pebble has debuted a new steel smartwatch and it will cost you $250.
The Pebble Time Steel is currently accepting pre-orders. The watch features a steel chassis that replaces the company’s standard plastic design.
The smartwatch, Pebbles most expensive to date, won’t start shipping for another six to eight weeks.
“Take care of life and business right from your wrist,” the company says on the watches listing page.
The Pebble Time Steel features standard smartwatch options such as voice phone, calendars, music and apps. It also features 10 days of battery life.
Since debuting on Kickstarter in 2012Pebble has released the Pebble Time for $200 and the Pebble Watch for $100. Those watches feature bright plastics that are reminiscent of Swatches. Last year Pebble Steal was released, that smartwatch cost $150.
Pebble is now facing increased competition from the likes of Sony, Motorola, Samsung, and most recently the Apple Watch.
