Baker College

Baker College is a private, non-profit American career college with campuses located all throughout Michigan. Founded in 1911, it is the largest private college in Michigan and is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Moreover, many of the programs offered by the college hold additional accreditation.

As a career college, Baker provides its students with skills necessary to perform particular jobs. Today, the college offers over 140 career programs within its curriculum. It confers Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees as well as certificate programs in such fields as Business, Health Sciences, Education and Human Service, and various technical fields. The Baker College system made up of Baker College Online and The Center for Graduate Studies enjoys a total enrollment of over 43,000 students.

Baker College Online allows students to earn their degree at home, on the road or wherever they are in any part of the world. All they need is to access their virtual classroom through the Web. Baker’s online courses, however, are not self-paced as they have specific beginning and ending dates with class work given specific deadlines. Both graduate and undergraduate degree programs are offered online.

The Baker Center for Graduate Studies, for its part, confers degrees in the Master’s and Doctoral levels in the fields of Business, Information Systems, and Occupational Therapy.
Cost of tuition at Baker’s College per quarter hour of credit for most undergraduate courses is US$195 while for the Center for Graduate Studies Master’s Courses, it’s US$345 and for the Center for Graduate Studies DBA, US$470. Fees vary depending on the degree program and specific course chosen. Financial aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships for qualified students is extended.
