Cosmopolitan And NBC Join Forces For New TV Show

NBC and Cosmopolitan

NBC and Cosmopolitan have teamed up to create a new series based on the lives of editors, executives, and writers, at a New York-based women’s magazine.

According to the companies, the show is loosely based on the real-life of Cosmopolitan Editor-In-Chief Joanna Coles, who will serve as an executive producer on the show.

Coles, who previously served as editor of Marie Claire magazine and as an American correspondent for the Guardian, has been credited with driving new life to Cosmopolitan while extending its reader base. After taking over the publication, Cosmopolitan won its first National Magazine Award in 2014.

The new scripted TV series does not have a title yet. The show will be produced by Universal Television. The series is being written by Sarah Watson, best known for her work on the NBC drama, ‘Parenthood.’
