Our blogger wrote, "I hope that there are entrepreneurial minded people in Louisville, they just end up moving away. That is a problem the government could fix with the right incentive programs,... Then we could keep our entrepreneurial talent in state."
** WELL, our state (Ky) passed tax changes two years ago which dramatically cost all small businesses. In fact, though I try to never sound vulgar, that tax change was so ignorant that it even raised tax on the smallest microbusinesses AND taxed all businesses EVEN IF THEY LOST MONEY (ie. negative profits)! How our gov't thought this would make Ky more attractive is a mystery.
** At last turn, Ky later excluded small businesses from 'some' of those increases, but still left intact parts for which everyone will now still pay more.
** So, I'm betting that even the few would-be entrepreneurs we had are stifling their last remnants of gumption... it'd be better to move to a state having a better business culture - and, you can take your would-be taxes with you when you go.
