Also, on Ormerod, that’s really the million-dollar question, isn’t it? We know that statistically, everything is going to be fine (companies will survive, your species will propagate, etc.), but that isn’t very helpful for the individual who’s trying to muddle through life :) .

He connects the dots between government regulations and anti-consumer monopolies for one (they go together hand in glove). And if this guy connects feedback loops and to longer term success the book is worht whatever time it takes IMHO. Strategy is made by doing! Once a law--good or bad--always a law. I prefer that we prosecute when businesses and citizens do bad, and most anyone over 10 can separate right from wrong (excluding efforts to regulate moral behavior, another subject for another time). Government should leave everyone else alone to fail or succeed as they might. That's my simple answer to what is a complex governmental convergence of philosophies. I prefer that we prosecute when businesses and citizens do bad, and most anyone over 10 can separate right from wrong (excluding efforts to regulate moral behavior, another subject for another time). Government should leave everyone else alone to fail or succeed as they might.
