Donald Trump Products Banned From Dubai Retail Stores

Donald Trump Products Pulled in Middle East

All of Donald Trump’s products have been dumped from a major retailer in the Middle East. The decision comes after Trump called for a 100% ban on all Muslim travels to the United States.

The chain, Lifestyle, headquartered in Dubai, says it will remove all Trump-branded products from its store shelves at 195 outlets across the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, and Tanzania.

“In light of the recent statements made by the presidential candidate in the U.S. media, we have suspended sale of all products from the Trump Home d├ęcor range,” said Lifestyle CEO Sachin Mundhwa. Lifestyle is a subsidiary of Landmark Group.

The Muslim community has been up in arms over Trump’s comments, with many noting that Muslim investors have spent billions of dollars on real estate, business, and other projects in the United States.

Trump has also earned millions of dollars at his own golf resorts and luxury properties in countries where Islam is the main religion.

Luxury developer DAMAC Properties, which is in the process of building the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai, said it would keep business and politics separate.

“Our agreement is with the Trump Organization as one of the premium golf course operators in the world and as such we would not comment further on Mr. Trump’s personal or political agenda, nor comment on the internal American political debate scene,” said Niall McLoughlin, senior vice president at DAMAC Properties, in a statement.
