Let me preface this by saying I know nothing about web domains and what the rules are, but wouldn't it simplify things if you could just get a .blog domain name? Companies could use them so that you could easily find their blogs. Instead of going to www.acmewidgets.com and clicking around to see if I can find their blog, I could just go to www.acmewidgets.blog.
