Elon Musk just announced awesome news for Tesla Model 3 owners

Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous Mode

The Tesla Model three is going to deliver “Ludicrous” mode for buyers.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed via Twitter on Friday night that the upgrade will be available on the $35,000 vehicle.

Ludicrous mode is a popular feature on Tesla’s more expensive models that enables Teslas to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds.

The feature does not come standard, and is instead offered as an upgrade on the Model S P90D and the Model X P90D for $2,500.

When Musk revealed the Model 3 in March he only said that the rear-wheel drive model would be able to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than six seconds.

Now it looks as though Model 3 owners will have the option to upgrade their vehicles to the faster acceleration option.

What Musk didn’t reveal was whether or not the Model 3 will be exactly the same as other Tesla’s.

If the Tesla Model 3 does go from zero to 60MPH in 2.8 seconds it will be quite the feat for an electric card that is selling for just $35,000.

More details to follow as they are made available by Musk or Tesla.
