It is important for businesses to be prepared to for growth. To become scalable, a business must be structured for scalability. This means making sure that you have processes that can adapt to growth in the following at least the following areas:

Manufacturing/production
– Do you have the capital to grow your business by buying necessary equipment, renting a bigger place and hiring needed employees?

Management
– Are your people prepared to handle more responsibilities? Is more training needed?

Logistics
– This refers not just to the logistics for manufacturing and production stage but also to the product storage and distribution.

Information management – Is your database structured for growth? You might need a new software to handle your company’s business if not.

Customer service – Do you have to address the needs of your growing market?
