Deal

Loosely defined, a deal is an agreement between two parties. A deal may involve the exchange of items, services, or money.

Many business deals are more complex than just making a purchase. This is especially true in cases where both parties involved intend to enter into a long-term financial relationship. In such cases, parties need to write out the provisions of the deal and involve lawyers if necessary.

In the context of stock investments, dealing may refer to the act of buying and selling stocks and securities using one’s own account. In such a situation, the company or individual is said to be a dealer because it acts as a principal in the transaction.
