CEO

A CEO, or chief executive officer, is one of the lead executives in a company. The CEO manages the entire company at a high level. The CEO is in charge of many tasks. Major ones include:

-Ensuring that company profits meet or exceed investor expectations
-Keeping the company aligned with its strategy
-Facilitate business development and company expansion
-Change company direction when neccessary (for example, downsize, merge, or go public )
-Lead and coordinate the actions of subordinate executives, such as vice presidents.

A CEO reports to the company’s board of directors.

Famous CEOs include Jack Welch, Steve Jobs and Peter Drucker.
