Right now, consumers are moving into new channels (myspace / skype etc.), which service providers have no good strategy for mining; the &quot;killer&quot; Web2 play may then be in being the conductor for relevant services to be added into online communities as a new demand channel for old products. The more I think about it, the more I&#039;m convinced that this strategy is where the mashup movement should be focused; not in mashing new services together but in mashing old products into new worlds - or, in BP-speak; in embedding traditional offerings in new technologies.
