Businessweek takes a look at the front runner to buy FC and Inc.
Joe Mansueto, founder and chairman of Chicago-based investment research firm Morningstar, has emerged as the front-runner for Gruner + Jahr USA Publishing's business magazines, Inc. and Fast Company, and is in late-stage negotiations to purchase the titles, executives close to the deal said this weekend.
Apparently The Economist is still in the running as well. It's alluded to that Mansueto may be the only bidder that intends to keep publishing the magazines.
