I love reading about start ups like this. It always amazes me what is possible if you put your mind to something. I doubt that any of these people thought they would be starting a company to become one of the best in their industry.

It is good to know that these big businesses started with almost next to nothing before getting started. I noticed that they all had one thing in common and that was teamwork.

Another key thing that I noticed while I was reading this review was the fact that they all had to wait for a while before anything big happened for them.

Overall, what I got from this review is the fact that teamwork PLUS patience = 2 good keys to success.

Pleasant enough reading but a little more fact checking would have helped the believability of the piece.

You wrote “Starbucks went public in 1992, and proved to be one of the most successful IPOs that year. With the infusion of public capitol, Starbucks began to strategically expand all over the US, at one point, at the rate of opening one new store per day.”

The company opened a record 2,199 stores in 2006 (just over 6 stores a day that year), far more than 1 a day. http://tinyurl.com/dajz73

If you list Apple, you really have to also list Microsoft. If my company gets as big as either, I am a happy camper.
