GMs cars for decades have been the same spartan interior hardly changing to suit modern consumers. I used to work at a place in the mid 90's that had an s-10 pickup for part pickup and deliveries. Late last year (2007) my wife and I rented a Trailblazer for a trip to California. We were interested in the Trailblazer as a potential replacement for our current aging car. The interior layout and colors were EXACTLY the same as that old s-10 I used to drive on occasion. If you don't update your interior in over ten years somethings wrong. A couple of other quirks and the trailblazer was quickly off our list. GMs only decent car has always been the Corvette.
