Green Energy and Politics in 2012

Being an informed voter, you may have an interest in energy policy. The difficult thing with energy is cutting through all the propaganda and getting to the economic reality. And in my view, that involves a sober look at the positives and negatives of various green alternatives such as wind and solar (neither of which are perfect alternatives to fossil fuel). Ultimately, I support any candidate that wants to push forward an electric-centric policy: where everything from our chainsaws to our cars is powered by electricity… powerfully and efficiently. Part of getting there will require government leadership (and a pull back on government subsidies for oil).
