In 2008 Hewlett Packard hired marketing agency Moving Brands to create a new logo.
What the company created was a series of four 13-degree angled lines that ALMOST showed the company’s H and P.
Ultimately the company decided not to use the new HP logo for all of its company branding. The new logo was shelved and that was the last we heard of it — until today.
HP has decided to drag out the minimalist logo and slap it on its ultra-thin Spectre laptop, which was unveiled Tuesday.
While the logo is definitely an interesting talking piece, I can see why the executives at HP shelved it from mass production.
