There are more than 100 million homes in the US that could be made much more efficient with very little investment. Not only would this create jobs, reduce energy bills and make drafty homes more comfortable for homeowners, but it would also increase safety (energy audits test for harmful gases, proper ventilation, and air quality problems caused by moisture and duct leaks), reduce demand for energy from power plants, and it would reduce greenhouse gases. I know the financial piece is very important to consider, but those are good things to consider too, right? I think you have to consider more than the tax and financial elements of this program.
