Former House Speaker John Boehner is not a fan of GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz. During a discussion at Stanford University on Wednesday, Boehner unloaded on Cruz with a slew of name calling.
Boehner called Cruz a “miserable son of a bitch” and then referred to him as “Lucifer in the flesh,” according to The Stanford Daily, a student newspaper.
He continued: “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
Boehner said he would vote for GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump in a general election over Ted Cruz.
Boehner called Trump a “texting” buddy. He promised not to vote for Cruz if he is nominated to run against the Democratic party’s nominee.
The former house speakers remarks shouldn’t come as a surprise. Last year he referred to Cruz as a “jackass” and a “false prophet.”
Boehner took at jab at Hillary Clinton by impersonating her to say: “Oh, I’m a woman, vote for me.”
However, he also praised her for being accomplished and smart.
He did speculate that the controversy over Clinton’s private email server could become a bigger issue.
“Don’t be shocked … if two weeks before the convention, here comes Joe Biden parachuting in and Barack Obama fanning the flames to make it all happen,” he said.
