Kobe Bryant’s last game is BIG business

Kobe Bryant - Last game in the NBA

Kobe Bryant is about to play in his last NBA game and that means big business on the ticket front.

The average price for a ticket to the Lakers game in Los Angeles is listed at over $2,100 and selling for about $1,400.

The most expensive ticket is a courtside offer for $29,200.

TiqIQ, which started tracking ticket resales in 2010, said these are record levels for a regular season NBA game.

Bryant has spent 20 seasons in the NBA and has played for the Lakers since signing with them at 17 — a rare feat in the NBA.

When Bryant announced his retirement in November, ticket prices for his last game began to creep up, according to SeatGeek.

The Lakers have become the second most expensive team to watch since Bryant announced his retirement. The Lakers have won only 16 games this season and have lost 65, but that hasn’t stopped Bryant’s fans from paying record prices to catch his last few games.

Bryant’s upcoming exit from the NBA has also led to a 500% increase in sales of his merchandise on Fanatics.com, according to CNN.

Only the Warriors Stephen Curry has sold more merchandise than Bryant in the last 30 days.
