Robert Prather has some thoughts on the topic. I pretty much agree with him, that in the long run it could be bad for Mexico. In a crunch the Fed would no doubt look out for US interests, not Mexican interests. But then again, they supposedly prefer dollars to pesos already, so it wouldn't be a big deal to officialize it.
