New Job Opening At NASA: Astronauts Wanted

NASA Astronaut Hiring

Do you enjoy staring into the vast expanses of space? Is your idea of a good time floating in a weightless environment for months at a time. Then you’re in luck.

NASA on Wednesday shared an Instagram post calling for new astronauts while explaining its application process.

“From pilots and engineers, to scientists and medical doctors, we select qualified astronaut candidates from a diverse pool of U.S. citizens with a wide variety of backgrounds,” NASA said in the post.

NASA also posted news of the Astronaut application process on Twitter.

NASA will begin accepting applications on December 14 and will take submissions through mid-February.

Astronaut candidates will be announced by mid-2017.

NASA is calling for astronauts “in preparation for our journey to Mars.”

NASA also said the launches would take place from Florida’s Space Coast with American-made spacecraft.
