Paul Allen Gets a Lesson in Leverage

Paul Allen, who most thought would eventually pass Bill Gates as the world's richest person, is having some trouble with his Charter Communications investment. Basically, Charter is over-leveraged and doesn't have enough cash on hand to pay bankers and finance operations. Allen must have gotten a little too excited about his "wired world" vision. Sometimes accepting slower growth in order to have a healthier balance sheet is a good idea.
