You can be a target for groups like PETA.
An animal-rights activist in Germany doused Yum! Brands Inc.'s chief executive with a red fluid yesterday, apparently in protest against how its suppliers slaughter chickens for use in its fast-food restaurants.
The incident occurred shortly after lunch in Hanover, as CEO David Novak was answering reporters' questions outside a combination KFC/A&W restaurant.
PETA is affiliated with the website KFC Cruelty (pictures of the CEO covered in red can be seen here), but parent company YUM Brands claims that PETA is using an old video showing practices no longer used in the chicken industry.
