Thanks for the feedback--I'm glad to hear you generally like my posts. I understand about the politics thing--when I'm reading about something, I get irked if there's some kind of ad or endorsement in it. Duly noted.

The issue I'm facing right now is that it would be ignorant to _not_ have politics in the blog in some shape or form, considering that the ex-chief of Goldman Sachs is the head of the treasury is linked to Warren Buffett is linked to the Republican party and its interests, etc.

My function on this blog is not to be a reporter. In the context of this website, I don't pretend to be neutral, nor do I have reason to. So the question comes down to one of readership. Is it my duty to avoid alienating readers not affiliated with my platform to keep them focused on unified issues (ack, we're taxpayers, we're screwed) rather than who I think can solve them? People are OK with a post linking to a company I like, but not with a post linking to a candidate I like.

I was thinking of posting something like what Rob posted a while ago, on my personal politics. Clear up the confusion, alienate the people ready to be alienated, etc.: http://www.businesspundit.com/my-politics-part-2-specific-views/

Then, when I put in my sneaky Obama links, people aren't caught off guard.

What do you think?

Drea-I usually like your posts. The premise and basic info on this one is no different. My issue is that you injected politics. Come on, this is a business blog not an Obama campaign. Likewise I would not expect to see McCain link. Please keep to the topic and leave the political links/resources out.
