I hope they bothered to put locks on the doors. A former Denny’s waitress I know told me about how they’d have to station someone at the entrance to turn people away every time they had to close for whatever reason (usually it was deep carpet cleaning).
The first Walmart in my area decided to be open 24-7 and 6 months later decided to close for Thanksgiving day. They had to hire security guards to stand out front.
Both times, the reasoning was, “hey, we’re ‘always open,’ why have locks?”
