I wrote a paper for a graduate level economics class on the pharmaceutical industry, and since then I have been keenly interested in the health care debate. I don't understand people who want the government to take over health care, when they do such a poor job on almost everything else. But I guess those people think this is an anomaly, and that overall the Canadian system is a good model. They are wrong.
UPDATE: I think it is worth the time to read the comments at the bottom of the referenced post. They are pretty interesting.
UPDATE: I just realized Jane has another post here that is pretty good too. When liberals talk about all the people without healthcare, I always point out that if you are dying you will receive aid, and the bills will be sorted out later.
