Some ideas require lots of capital - Fed Ex wouldn't exist if you tried to bootstrap it with your credit card. Other businesses can be incubated cheaply a la Facebook. I think some early bootstrapping welds discipline into a company's culture. If a company gets too much, too soon you get the corporate version of Paris Hilton. I don’t think it’s that simple.
