Sun just can't seem to do anything right. According to this, they are continuing the trend.

This year, Sun Microsystems began a new product announcement strategy under which it unveils all its news in large doses once per quarter. The idea is to mirror the periodic rollout of new cars in Detroit, directing attention toward the shiny new integrated whole rather than new piston rings, gas tanks, steering wheels, transmissions and dashboards.

After the fourth such quarterly announcement in early December, though, it's clear the strategy isn't accomplishing all that Detroit native, automobile analogy expert and Sun Chief Executive Scott McNealy would hope.

I keep hanging on to their stock, hoping they get their act together and trying to stay focused on the long-term. But I read stuff like this and I wonder if Sun will even be around in the long-term.
