FuturePundit says that tall people make more money. He notes that IQ makes even more of a difference. I would add that from what I have read on EQ, or Emotional Intelligence, people skills matter even more.
I am 6'2", and I usually don't think of myself as tall until I am at some function where there is a large group of people, and I look around and realize I can see over most of them. It's hard to say yet if it has provided much advantage in my life. I had bouts of serious anxiety until I was about 20, so that could have negated any gains from being tall. Financially, I do very well for someone my age. I'd like to attribute it to intelligence, creativity, education and work ethic, but maybe height has something to do with it.
