Some people think teachers have it easy. Others say they aren't paid enough. Controversial research shows that on an hourly basis, teachers are actually paid pretty well. My guess is that there are some of both. Some bust their asses to do well and don't get rewarded, others just sit around and assign in-class work, and are probably not worth what they make. Too bad the system isn't more performance based, like a free market.
