Social networks are very popular with hiring managers these days (to check your resume, experience, and background) and it really helps to get your profile up where you can. But in addition to the websites listed (which are all great), I recommend OneCubicle.com. It's a good combination of LinkedIn and Facebook and has definitely helped me look for job listings and internships. I think #5-use social media is a huge key.
