Hal,

I'm not sure how you justify your claims, but the AP obtained a separate document from the one you claim to have leaked. I contacted the AP (you never know, right?), and received this reply:

Hal Turner's claim that "the AP found the same document" is erroneous. The Associated Press is familiar with the discredited information that he disseminated. It purports to include the results of government stress tests, including the names of banks that have "failed" the tests. The document obtained by AP, by contrast, contains no such allegations; it is a template outlining the methods for the tests and was distributed at the beginning of the testing process.

I can't claim to know why you post the claims and material that you do, but consider my opinion that it has something to do with self-promotion an informed one.

One day after I published my report concerning Bank Stress Tests, the Associated Press reports they too have now obtained documents related to the bank stress test.

AP story here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090421/ap_on_bi_ge/us_banks_stress_tests

This ought to lend credibility to my assertion that stress test documents are, in fact, being leaked to the media, a member of which I count myself.

The Treasury Secretary made statements today claiming the banks are well capitalized. Gee, how would he know that unless the very test results that his agency claims aren't available yet, are, in fact, available? Simple: The Treasury is lying.

They lied about the stress test results not being available and they're lying now about bank capitalization. They have to lie. The system is falling apart and they can't let anyone find out.

In the last three years, my web site has garnered more than thirty million unique visitors. People come to my site - and keep coming back - because I have a reputation of being a straight shooter. I put out the facts, no matter who doesn't like them.

I don't "call people sodomites" those folks are, in fact, sodomites. Don;t like that truth? Tough.

I have appeared on Dateline NBC, "Paula Zahn Now" on CNN, countless local television and radio shows. I hardly need self promotion or more publicity.

Smear me all you want. The truthfulness of my reporting speaks for itself.
