Forbes recently featured a graphic displaying the Top 20 Social Brands as measured by the Social Business Index.
The ranking is worth noting because it is a dynamic measurement of any given brand’s social presence and gives a nice indicator of the brands ability to engage its customers in the online generation. Something definitely worth considering when you are exploring investment options, as a social presence could very well lead to market share growth.

At the top of the listings are traditional media giants such as Viacom, Disney and News Corp. The first pure Internet company comes in at #6 with Google. Surprisingly, the NBA is the highest ranked sports league. The highest rated gaming platform is Zynga, largely due to its presence on Facebook.
